Dr. Kuo-Szu Peter Chiang currently holds a professorship at the Division of Biometrics within the Department of Agronomy at National Chung Hsing University in Taichung, Taiwan. He serves as an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Plant Pathology, an international journal presenting comprehensive plant pathology research.

 

His research primarily explores the application of statistical methods to plant epidemiology and biosecurity. He has collaborated with several plant pathologists from the USDA to develop standards for assessing plant diseases through the analysis of disease severity data. More recently, he has been actively engaged in biosecurity surveillance efforts, working alongside the Centre of Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His focus is especially on the risk assessment and management of invasive plant species.
